Sylvester Stallone Acknowledges Arnold Schwarzenegger's Superiority as an Action Movie Star: "He Wanted to Be Number 1, and Unfortunately, He Got There"

In a recent docuseries delving into Arnold Schwarzenegger's life and career, Sylvester Stallone openly discussed their past rivalry, conceding that Schwarzenegger was an exceptional action hero.

Despite now being close friends and having collaborated on projects like "The Expendables" and "Escape Plan," the two Hollywood icons experienced a turbulent relationship throughout the late 20th century, competing fiercely at the box office.

In the Netflix documentary series "Arnold," Stallone and Schwarzenegger reminisced about their feud spanning several decades. Stallone revealed that in the early 1980s, he recognized that he was the only one exploring the emerging action genre in a distinct manner, except for "some other guy from Austria."

Schwarzenegger acknowledged that Stallone had a head start with the first two "Rocky" films already established when Schwarzenegger's own breakout movie, "Conan the Barbarian," premiered in 1982.
